Practices > Construction Law and Litigation

When a dispute arises in the construction setting, our firm engages a strategy which steers the parties towards presuit resolution through informal negotiations, mediation or nonbinding and binding arbitration in an effort to avoid litigation if possible.  We provide aggressive and competent representation of both property owners and contractors with a variety of issues.

With respect to property owners, the firm has substantial experience in obtaining proper payment documents so that the owner is not faced with subcontractor liens, warranty issues, nonpayment issues or having to pay twice for the same work.  On the other hand, our firm also represents contractors from the beginning through the completion of the project and throughout litigation should that become necessary.  The firm also prepares construction contracts, addenda, construction lien documentation and warranty documents.

On the litigation side, the firm has substantial experience in providing the prosecution or defense of all construction related actions including, but not limited to, construction lien issues, contract issues, construction defect notices and compliance, licensing representation and other construction and litigation matters.
